Skodsborg Talks - Henrik Tingleff
Skodsborg Strandvej 139, 2942 Skodsborg
You know them for sure: the Ego animals. Those who are always late and waste everyone's time, who interrupt and take over conversations with endless monologues. The colleague who snatches credit for the work of others and posts retouched selfies and exaggerated success stories on LinkedIn.
The uncomfortable truth? They are you. And you are them. The ego beast dwells in all of us.
And that has consequences. For our efficiency. For the joy of work. For the cooperation. In this entertaining and eye-opening talk, behavioral psychologist Henrik Tingleff holds up a sharp mirror in front of us and shows how our inherent needs for hierarchy, territory and status affect everyday life — both at work and online. Through captivating psychological studies, personal experiences and precise observations from meetings, everyday life and social media, he reveals how the ego beast rules us all. Learn more about how to recognize an ego animal — both in others and in yourself — and how it can be tamed. Find out how we cheat ourselves for learning. And see why it might actually be smart to be one minute late. You went from the lecture with both good laughs, new insights — and most importantly: concrete tools to strengthen cooperation, increase efficiency and create better well-being in communities. **About Henrik: ** Henrik Tingleff is a behavioral psychologist, author and lecturer. About Kurhotel Skodsborg
Skodsborg – a healthy part of Denmark’s history When you check in at Kurhotel Skodsborg, you are also checking into a piece of fantastic Danish history that is all about retreating for a while and re-energizing your body and mind. In 1852, King Frederik 7 bought the country house Skodsborg with his wife, Countess Danner, and together they spent their long, relaxing summers here until his death in 1863. Villa Rex was built in 1857 so that the king could hold councils of state, meetings and banquets without leaving the scenic surroundings of Skodsborg. Villa Rex has been renovated with respect for history and is now used for parties and meetings.
